My last hoover took a turn for the worse . luckily i could trade it in for £50 off this beast ..

I havent bothered uploading any footage for a while, i had sold my old drone as i was undergoing hospital appointments , doctors etc.

Although , im not in the best of health , i decided i wanted to get back to flying again .

I purchased a DJI Mini 3 , better camera , stronger wind resistance , and a built in screen on the controller so much easier now that i dont need to connect a phone anymore.

i still have an operator number and am allowed to fly with much less restrictions so ill be posting stuff pretty soon..

Not content with owning one 3dprinter , i got another a few months back.

However , Bambu Lab was celebrating their birthday and was offering deals i couldnt refuse.

Im now the proud owner of a bambu lab A1 , a bambu lab A1 mini and a Bambu lab P1S.

That should keep me entertained a while 🙂

Ive not been around again i know , its been a very bad year .

i’m usually upbeat and like to act the fool but this post wont be funny in the slightest.

Since my last update regarding my cancer scare , although i had the news that i was clear regarding the bladder cancer tests. Unfortunately my consultant had found i have an aortic aneurysm. i can deal with that at the moment , its 3.3cm in size ( should be 2cm) , however i wouldnt be considered for surgery until its in the 5.5cm range due to the risks involved. So with that im placed on a watch list and will have regular scans .

My Mother in law passed away . im not going to go into details on here , i wish to keep this private.

also , as if that wasnt enough , my brother also passed away last month … again , i prefer not to disclose any more details .

There is some better news i can report , my daughter is expecting her first child imminently so im gonna be a grandad or Pa !

hopefully ill now be around more to keep the site updated. im sorry for the downtime .

It was only a few weeks ago i showed you my latest printer. However, the company and its product impressed me so much i decided to buy its little baby too.

Dont let its size fool you , its just as capable as its big brother and has the option to print in multicolour too and just as quickly.

New addition to the garden this year , we decided we needed a greenhouse ( i eat too many tomatoes lol ) .

this should help keep the cost of living down a little. just need to start the tidying from winter now.

It was time to get a new phone , and as o2 was offering £200 off how could i refuse.

….actually 2 upgrades

My 3 year old printer wasnt getting much love , it was slow, and i spent more time tuning the printer rather than printing.

fast forward to jan 2024 and i upgraded to another ender , this time the ender 3 v3 se.

although it is a great printer as its a direct loader and also has auto bed leveling , i needed more , ideally the option to print easily in several colours and also an enclosed unit allowing me to print a much wider range of material for use outside as well as inside.

Fast forward a month , and i present to you my latest edition , the bambu lab P1S. https://bambulab.com/en/p1

Its not a cheap printer coming in at just under £1000 with the AMS and filament , however a print that would take me 48 hours on the older printers can be done in hours. fully controllable from my mobile or PC from anywhere in the world.

Its been a while since i have been around to maintain perrysworld.

Theres a very good reason for this, i’ll start at the beginning .

September 2023 , i attended my yearly diabetic review and im pleased to say my HBA1C scored 35 … thats even better than last year.

HOWEVER…

Blood was discovered in my urine sample.

On having 3 more samples checked , i was still showing whats called an invisable hematuria.

This flagged up on the medical system as suspected bladder cancer. Therefor i was fastracked under the 2 week wait to my local hospital for tests. I had full blood tests and urine samples taken for cancer markers , an ultrasound scan of my bladder and kidneys , a cystoscopy to look inside my bladder and finally a CT scan to check for problems to the upper tract and kidneys.

All the tests came back clear at the end of 2023 except for my CT scan …. i’m pleased to say that the results of that came through today and thats also clear.

Its been a very traumatic 6 months to say the least. They presume that the blood may be due to my lifelong medication of apixaban ( a blood thinner ) thats taken to prevent another DVT. ill be staying on apixaban as the benefit outweighs the risk of not taking them.

Further to this , i will be staying on my anti depressants and anti anxiety medication as well as my lifelong blood pressure medication.

Hopefully things can only get better from here on in and i can now focus on my hobbies and keeping the website updated regularly .
