Got some more sketchers as my old pair although going strong are a bit on the rough side.

Although these sketchers were a lot more expensive ( over £100 ) , they are 100% waterproof so should last me ages.

Pleased to say my results from my diabetic eye screening have come back.

No issues , so i dont need to be checked now for 2 years rather than 1 .

As my property is probably 100 years old it needs a few updates. It’s already had a full electric rewire , new combi boiler and central heating system. Shower roof venting and a new kitchen suite.

This year after a loft and roof inspection, it was deemed necessary to relag the loft and also to have roof venting installed.

work will start later this month so scaffolding needs to go up in a few weeks.

I’ll try and get some pics during the upgrade.

After spending most of last year in Hospitals , this year it was the wife’s turn.

After complaining of tummy pain , it became clear it wasnt a run of the mill tummy bug. she was admitted to stafford general and later that day transferred to royal stoke with a failing gallbladder.

It appears it was gangrenous , and had to be removed immediately.

Luckily , it was keyhole surgery and was able to be discharged within a few days. shes feeling a lot better now but it was a close call.

Theres no point boasting about being or 2 ( well 3) car family if they keep breaking down and need to be shamefully brought back home on the back of a recovery lorry 😛

Its been a busy few months.

Xray on my left wrist as well as blood tests for arthritis , nerve conduction study appointment for my left wrist. ill have a final assessment later this week to see whats happening going forward.

Aortic Aneurysm scan shows no increase in size from 12 months ago so no scans for 12 months.

diabetic score stable at 40 mmol.

diabetic eye check in february 2025 but last years test showed no issues.

Still on the blood thinners , statins, blood pressure and anxiety and depression meds but all stable at the moment.

lets hope it stays that way.

As its not the weather for flying drones for my images and videos, ive purchased what is effectively a drone camera on a stick .

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

It does everything my old DSLR did but better. Much easier to carry around too.

Well , no sooner does a new neighbour arrive , they seem to move away pretty quickly.

Not content with a mini drone , medium drone , sports drone (fpv) , ive got another lol.

To celebrate getting my pilot licence , ive treated myself to a slightly larger than usual drone. This monster has a top speed of 60MPH so no chance of shooting it out of the sky 😉 . it has full optical avoidance sensors and a myriad of other features too long to list . also it boasts a dual camera setup with telephoto lens to get those really close up shots from a safe distance.

Cant wait to get this beast in the air 😉

I took my A2 COFC Drone operator exam last night and happy to say i passed with a 100% score. The tutoring with UAVHUB is second to none , well presented and very easy to follow. My exam just needs to be audited now and i should receive my certificate very soon. A big thank you to all at UAVHUB.
