New year , new hosting.
My previous website host ,although great, was a little too expensive for my needs. I’ve now moved to hostinger on a 4 year contract that has been heavily discounted.
all is up and running , however whilst everything propagates over the Internet, there may be a few bugs to iron out but this should all settle within 48 hours.
Covid autumn booster and flu jab 2022
I had my autumn covid booster and flu jab a few weeks ago.
Only a sore arm and a little tired for 24 hours. Small price to pay for the protection it gives.
Being a registered carer , I was allowed to have mine alongside the over 65 group.
Car Detailed !
It’s the cold and wet season , time to prepare for winter.
Having just had a full service , the only thing i needed to do was to protect the car paintwork .
Stafford Mobile Valeting and Detailing did a fantastic job , attention to detail was spot on and even gave me a few tips on what i could do to keep it in top condition until my next detail.
….. i was even offered coffee 🙂

New Car
Its been another busy month.
decided to exchange my diesel driven car for a petrol one. Nothing wrong with the diesel , however i wasn’t doing the milage to warrant keeping it and got a great deal on a petrol driven Ford Fiesta.
I got a great part ex deal that almost matched what i paid for it a few years ago. Comes with 12 months MOT , 18 months warranty , full service. looks and drives great. love the folding mirrors and assisted parking sensors 🙂

Mobile Blogging
Life is a little hectic at the moment.
Lots going on , so I’m just blogging this post from my phone to see if it’s any easier to keep the blog up to date and get back to daily posting.
So , here’s what’s been going on this last month.
Loki is doing great with his training , it’s looking like he will pass the puppy foundation module within the next 4 weeks but practice is the key and that’s taking up my time at the moment. It will be worth the effort though.
I’ve had my blood test and happy to report the statins have helped to reduce my cholesterol from 5.7 down to 3.8 . I’ve a few more checks to be done regarding my blood thinners and a check on my diabetes reading but all seems OK for now.
My car had a air conditioning regass recently, that really helped to keep the car at a safe cool level for the doggo . It also recently had a oil and filter change and its going in next week for a fuel filter change DPF clean and engine carbon clean. I got a really great deal from spear cars based in Stafford. Really great service and very trustworthy guy.
That’s all for now but hoping I’ll be able to keep on top of the updates over the next few weeks and thanks for staying with Me.
Welcome Loki
I havent been around ( again) for a while.
There is a good reason for that , please welcome Loki .. The dog of mischief !
He’s been with us around 8 weeks and has settled in and making his demands known lol.
He’s about to start his training soon at PADS but he’s already recalling to his name as well as the usual sit and wait commands etc. i think he will do well and i’ll update on his progress over the next few months.

More Tech
I use a Synology router RT2600 ac for my network and its great , however i was struggling to get a decent WIFI signal on my back garden. I can get a strong signal on the front so its mainly down to where i have my main router situated.
Rather than mess around moving it, i’ve purchased its little brother the 2200 to act as a mesh system and placed that at the rear of the property in the kitchen area.
The great thing about mesh networking is that its a seamless changeover to the strongest signal without any dropouts or configuration. ive now got full bars in and all around the property now 🙂

Gardening Time
I’ve been a little busy out in the garden so havent got around to posting much on the blog but i thought i’d share a few photo’s of how its progressing …
…another new monitor
well , the last monitor didn’t last long. it had a dead pixel but i made sure i was covered for that and decided to exchange it.
This beast is lg 34″ Ultrawide with an IPS screen for much better clarity and full colour spectrum.
I only just managed to make it fit into the alcove but don’t let the picture fool you, this is huge !
Diabetes Update
I had my six monthly diabeties check a few days ago. One point up from last time … 38. blood pressure fine , eyes fine , feet fine. The bad news is my cholesterol is at 5.7 so need to go on statins.
Never mind, it gives me something else to panic about :/
