Not only does it act as a visual deterrent, if installed and managed correctly , it can show evidence that can be used to catch and convict any wrongdoing.  My footage has even been used recently to help with a road traffic accident and also a case of dangerous/inconsiderate driving and parking. I cared for both my mum and dad until they passed , and now i need to be a carer for my wife . Its not an easy thing to do but over time it does become the ‘norm’ and you adapt to this way of life without thinking about it. Usual duties involve everything from making sure meds are administered to everything in between 24/7, as well as managing my own needs and the day to day running of a busy household. However... - [My Diabetes journey](https://perrysworld.net/my-diabetes-journey/): On attending hospital back in November 2020 for a suspected DVT , i was also informed i had high blood pressure and a very high HBA1C of 101 …. yes, i was diagnosed diabetic. I was put on medication for my DVT and blood pressure indefinitely and given metformin to control my blood sugar. 2 years on and i’m happy to report that the DVT is under control and my blood pressure has dropped to a acceptable level. RAC mechanic so got me started and i headed to my local garage to have said starter motor replaced.   I was told it could take up to 2 weeks , however the guys at the garage had a spare slot and got my motor sorted within 24 hours. Downside was i needed a new battery as well as the starter motor so had that replaced too . It’s already had a full electric rewire , new combi boiler and central heating system. Shower roof venting and a new kitchen suite. This year after a loft and roof inspection, it was deemed necessary to relag the loft and also to have roof venting installed. work will start later this month so scaffolding needs to go up in a few weeks. As its only a small property, I kept it simple and went with a 5.1 system. I chose the Marantz 1510. Plenty of power and features without breaking the bank. This is combined with a jamo center speaker , 2 front wharfedale diamond 9.1 speakers and 2 wharfedale diamond 9 sound speakers. subwoofer is supplied by edifier and drops massive bass when required. alll in all , perfect for our movie nights. - [Bad start to the year..](https://perrysworld.net/bad-start-to-the-year/): After spending most of last year in Hospitals , this year it was the wife’s turn. After complaining of tummy pain , it became clear it wasnt a run of the mill tummy bug. she was admitted to stafford general and later that day transferred to royal stoke with a failing gallbladder. It appears it was gangrenous , and had to be removed immediately. Xray on my left wrist as well as blood tests for arthritis , nerve conduction study appointment for my left wrist. ill have a final assessment later this week to see whats happening going forward. Aortic Aneurysm scan shows no increase in size from 12 months ago so no scans for 12 months. diabetic score stable at 40 mmol. diabetic eye check in february 2025 but last years test showed no issues. Still on the blood thinners , statins, blood pressure and anxiety and depression meds but all stable at the moment. lets hope it... - [DJI Osmo Pocket 3](https://perrysworld.net/dji-osmo-pocket-3/): As its not the weather for flying drones for my images and videos, ive purchased what is effectively a drone camera on a stick . Not content with a mini drone , medium drone , sports drone (fpv) , ive got another lol. To celebrate getting my pilot licence , ive treated myself to a slightly larger than usual drone. This monster has a top speed of 60MPH so no chance of shooting it out of the sky 😉 . it has full optical avoidance sensors and a myriad of other features too long to list . also it boasts a dual camera setup with telephoto lens to get those really close up shots from a safe distance. The tutoring with UAVHUB is second to none , well presented and very easy to follow. My exam just needs to be audited now and i should receive my certificate very soon. I already have a small cinematic drone for those aerial shots and also a really small drone that can follow me that is great for close contact shots. Meet the DJI AVATA 2 , This is a Cinematic FPV drone that is great for ripping around , fields , abandoned buildings etc. it comes with the headset allowing a first person view and is fast and nimble enough to get in and out of those nooks and crannies.
